Welcome to CAMELOT! Borrowing from the Arthurian legends, CAMELOT is Lerner and Loewe's fantastical masterpiece. An idealistic King Arthur hopes to create a kingdom built on honor and dignity, embodied by his Knights of The Round Table. He establishes an order built on using “might for right.” His ideals, however, are tested when his lovely queen, Guenevere, falls in love with his most loyal knight, Lancelot. Add in the dastardly Mordred and his wicked schemes and it soon appears this dream of a kingdom may only exist for one brief, shining moment.

 

This stirring Golden Age musical has enchanted generations of theatregoers with its sweeping score and iconic characters. It is a romance, a tragedy, a comedy, an adventure, a fantasy, and a stirring exploration of power and leadership all at once. And above all, it is a piece about the stories and ideals we pass along to future generations.

 

Camelot will be performed the weekends of November 13-15th and November 20-22nd, 2026.

 

Audition Information:

 

To audition for CAMELOT, please prepare a 16-32 bar selection of a musical theatre song that showcases your range or storytelling ability, preferably from Golden Age or Golden Age-inspired musicals. Please print out your sheet music, digital on iPad or tablet as we will have an accompanist. You will also choose one of the provided monologues (or two short ones, if you prefer) to read. These need not be memorized, but feel free to look at them in advance on the audition website. Auditioners will also learn a short dance combination.

 

(Director's Note: Do not be deterred from auditioning for CAMELOT if you don't consider yourself a singer or dancer. There are several great roles here for "actors who sing"-- or actors who don't sing at all! If this describes you, just show us character and personality through your singing and dance auditions. I myself have two left feet, so I am the last one to judge if your grapevine looks more like a corn maze. -- Megan Fraedrich.)

Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are preferred.

 

Bring a completed audition form with conflicts identified on the form. Resumes and headshots will be accepted but are not required. Printed copies will be available at the audition; however, we recommend you complete these prior to your arrival. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your audition slot if you plan to complete the forms in person, otherwise we may add you to the next audition group in order to keep the audition groups moving forward.
