Sterling Playmakers brings Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece OUR TOWN to our town of Sterling! If you’ve ever wondered what life was like one hundred years ago, and what your hometown was like then, whether it’s the town of Sterling or Dranesville, or Herndon, or Leesburg , or Fairfax or Lansing, Michigan; Grover’s Corners is a likely stand-in. This timeless American classic reminds us to treasure each ordinary day and the connections we share with one another.
OUR TOWN runs October 17-19 and 24-26 at the theater at Sterling Middle School, 201 W. Holly Dr., Sterling Va. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30pm and Sundays start at 2:00pm. Tickets are $18. Step back in time with us to this fictional small town, OUR TOWN, as we explore life, love, and something deeper.
“OUR TOWN” IS PRESENTED BY ARRANGEMENT WITH CONCORD THEATRICALS ON BEHALF OF SAMUEL FRENCH, INC. WWW.CONCORDTHEATRICALS.COM

Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience.
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.
A riotous ride, complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius. The small cast and unit set make this a perfect option for high schools or community theatres. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a fast-paced crowd pleaser and an instant theatre patron favorite.
