On That Note is Sterling Playmakers’ traveling musical theatre revue ensemble. Featuring a cabaret style combination of solos, small group and large group numbers, we perform a variety of songs from both Broadway and movie musicals. Debuting in 2014, On That Note (OTN) is proud to entertain audiences throughout Northern Virginia.

OTN showcases some of the Playmakers’ best singers: we provide a community outreach to isolated and marginalized older people, we sing for public performances and private local businesses, and we are a diverse group of performers that reflects our diverse society — all with one goal, to bring joy to those who experience our show.

We would like to welcome our new director for 2023, Jeannie DeLisi! Jeannie is a veteran Playmaker who has served in many staff positions in many productions over the years, including vocal director, costumes, hair and makeup, and others. She is also known for her roles as Mrs. Potts, Dolly Levi, Glinda, Meg Brodie, Marian Paroo, and many more in productions around the region. We are thrilled to have Jeannie leading us!

On That Note would like to thank our departing director, Ellen Price, for four years of leadership. Ellen has handed over the reins beginning in 2023. We are grateful for her leadership and commitment to OTN and look forward to having her continue as a performer with the group. Thank you, Ellen!

AUDITIONS

CALL FOR

TENORS & BARITONES!

On That Note will hold auditions for opening slots for tenors and baritones in our cast:

February 17 (7-8:30pm)

February 18 (1-3pm)

Sterling Community Center

To be considered, cabaret experience is not necessary — only talent, an ear for harmony, and desire to serve our community.

Since we cast great singers, and great singers are often cast in other shows, we are happy to work around your performance schedule. We typically rehearse on Sunday afternoons on an as needed basis.

To audition:

  1. Prepare 32 bars of an uptempo and 32 bars of a ballad from the Broadway catalog and perform them cabaret-style.

  2. Sign up for an audition slot using the button above.

Though we would highly prefer to meet you in person, we will also accept video auditions. Send your video to:
